Research summary
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical performance of a new silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lenses (BYO Air, Procornea) in comparison with MyDay (Coopervision)*. Both contact lens brands are CE-marked (i.e. approved for use in the European Union).\n* or private-label contact lens versions may be used.\n\nThis is a 86 participant two-week, bilateral, double-masked dispensing study (the participants will be masked to the lens type and Sponsor). Participant’s will wear Procornea BYO Air Daily versus CooperVision MyDay each for one week.\n\nThe study will be conducted at a minimum of six optician practices in England and is being sponsored by Alcon. Participants will be recruited based on having healthy eyes apart from needing correction for shortsightedness. Participants will need to attend their Opticians on three occasions for approx. 30-40 minutes each visit over a period of approximately three weeks. \n
