  • Research summary

Diabetes is a condition that affects blood sugar levels in the body. It is extremely important that people with diabetes effectively manage their condition in order to slow the progression of associated complications which include heart disease and blindness.

It is widely recognised that regular self-monitoring of glucose levels is an important part of the management of diabetes and helps slow the progression of the condition and its complications.

LifeScan designs and manufactures products to help people with diabetes monitor and manage their condition. We conduct extensive testing of our products in laboratories at LifeScan and also conduct studies to determine how well our products perform and contribute to an understanding of the benefits and positive health outcomes for people with diabetes.

The research conducted under REC Reference: 10/S1103/2 has been very successful for LifeScan and has contributed to the accuracy, quality and development of products for customers.
