  • Research summary

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has had a significant impact on the United Kingdom. There have been many preliminary data in regards to factors affecting the outcome of patients infected with covid19, however specific evidence is still scarce.\n\nThe Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a district general hospital located in Greater London. The structure of the local population and distribution of pre-existing medical conditions in the population make for an interesting group to analyse.\n\nIn this study, we hope to assess the clinical, radiological and laboratory characteristics of patients who were admitted with COVID-19, and to explore the correlation between these and the outcomes for these patients (primary outcome of mortality and secondary outcomes (admission to ITU, length of hospital stay, re-admission).\n\nWe are aiming to retrospectively look at all patients who tested positive for COVID-19 swab and were admitted to the Hillingdon Hospital between the beginning of March and end of April 2020.
