Research summary
We want to evaluate changes in the view towards metal cap before and after its placement in the decayed baby molar tooth from the patient and legal guardian’s perspective to help us understand the acceptance of the metal cap in children and their legal guardian. We use a metal cap (preformed metal crown) as a restorative treatment option for a decayed baby molar. The metal cap is seated over the tooth without numbing (injections/shots) or tooth preparation (drilling). We need the parent/legal guardian and their child to answer the questionnaires which will be provided at the end of the appointment visit. Their response will help us better understand the acceptability of the treatment among children and their legal guardians/parents.
