Research summary
An investigation of the clinical characteristics of heart failure with mid range ejection fraction (HFmEF) in comparison to heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). I will investigate the prevalence of each category, the patient demographics and look for any indications that HF may be present. This is to identify the patients that need a transthoracic echo in a timely manner. Information for this will be gained by collecting patient demographics, past medical history, blood test results and ECG, using clinical web portal and CDS heart failure application.
