The tissue is stored in freezers,paraffin blocks and slide stores on the Addenbrookes campus or offsite storage in HTA licenced facilities. Data is stored on a password protected database stored on a CUH network drive.
Consent maybe taken by the clinician treating the donor and or the Brain Bank nurse or chaplaincy staff in her absence
Research programme
The facility routinely supplies a wide human material for cellular and molecular phenotyping to a variety of BRC themes, as well as to University researchers, quality assurance schemes (NEQAS), clinical trials and commercial companies, for research into a wide range of neurodenerative diseases.
