Data collection arrangements
The registry stores data relating to patient participants who are being treated with specialist immunotherapy for severe allergies to peanut, pollens, airborne allergens, and bee or wasp venom; and for targeted immune suppression in Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, a debilitating skin condition often treated by allergists. Data includes personal identifiable information, details of their health and medicines and how they respond to treatment. Some of this data is added by the specialist consultant in charge of their care. Registry participants have the option to return electronic questionnaires to track their response to treatment by responding to email/SMS prompts.
Research programme
The registry supports people being treated for severe allergies in the UK; particularly those having specialist treatments including immunotherapy and targeted immune suppression. It helps specialist centres providing these treatments to keep track of their patients, and to monitor how they respond to treatment.
