Research summary
This study will explore issues surrounding eating behaviour and body size in males with mental illness in secure hospital. The study will include computerised tasks that measure body size perception and levels of satiation from various foods. It will also include questionnaires measuring participant's sensitivity to rewards and punishment, body shape perception and eating attitudes. The results of these tasks will be analysed along with information about the participant including their weight, waist hip ratio, current anti-psychotic medication and other demographic variables. This information will be compared with a control group of males without mental illness in the general population.
