Research summary
PsiOxus Ltd is a UK based biotech company focusing on novel treatments for cancer and infectious disease. Our focus in this project is aimed at understanding which blood components interact with adenovirus particles (for example antibodies and blood cells) and what effect any such binding may have on virus activity in laboratory assays. This work should improve they way we develop new treatments for patients. Early research is typically conducted using cell lines cultured in the laboratory. However in order to confirm the relevance of our work to potential future applications in humans, it is important to evaluate some findings using human blood cells or serum.
This project intends to draw general trends and observations from surplus, per-consented samples and does not require the use of individually identifiable blood components.REC name
