  • Data collection arrangements

BioGrad Biobank plans to establish collections of a wide range of samples including but not limited to teeth, blood from different bodily sources, pregnancy tissue, biopsy tissue as well bodily fluids. Sample adjacent data will be stored to maximise sample value and include biological data, information regarding donor lifestyles, and medical history. BioGrad Biobank aims to gain broad consent for sample and data use in research, commercial and medical manufacturing settings prior to sample collections. We offer fresh and frozen tissue and collection arrangements range from at-home self-collections to sample collections carried out by registered healthcare professionals in clinical settings. Samples will be securely stored either at our Biobank facilities in Liverpool or at another licensed biobanking institution in the UK.

  • Research programme

The BioGrad Biobank serves as a crucial repository for samples and associated data used in the field of cellular and advanced therapies, encompassing treatments that involve the transplantation of human cells for tissue repair or replacement with no particular focus on a disease or disease group. BioGrad Biobank's research program aims to bolster scientific evidence and support the development of advanced therapy medicinal products with particular focus on stem and immune cell therapies. Access can be obtained by various entities, including academic and commercial researchers, as well as those in the biotechnology and medical industries. Beginning with fundamental scientific endeavors aimed at comprehending biological principles, we extend our support to pre-clinical and industrial development projects and the growth of the cell therapy sector by facilitating the development and manufacturing of life-saving therapies.
