Data collection arrangements
The Biocrucible Biobank will collect, store and process biological samples, including venous and capillary blood, urine samples, anterior nasal swabs and vaginal swabs to help support the research and development of Biocrucible's portfolio of diagnostic devices. All samples will be collected and stored at one of the Biocrucible sites. All participants will asked to read a participant information sheet outlining the details of the Biocrucible research tissue bank and the samples they are being asked to donate. Participants will be provided sufficient time to understand their involvement and ask any questions they may have. Participants will then be asked to sign a consent form. No samples or data will be taken until a consent form has been signed in the presence of a trained witness. All participants will be able to withdraw at any time and any samples remaining in the tissue bank will be disposed of following internal processes.
Research programme
The Biocrucible Biobank program is designed to support Biocrucible’s mission of developing diagnostic devices that deliver rapid, sample-to-answer solutions where they are most needed. This tissue bank will play a key role in advancing the development of in vitro diagnostic devices across Biocrucible's portfolio. Ultimately, these investigational devices will benefit the public once they become commercially available, contributing to more accessible and efficient diagnostic solutions in the future.
