Research summary
Patients’ beliefs about their illness and treatment can be important in terms of how the drugs prescribed for them are perceived. These beliefs can impact upon adherence. This study, by administering a battery of questionnaires which assess patient beliefs about multiple sclerosis (MS) and the treatments used for the condition, will help to determine whether there are differences between varying types of the disease. It is thought that this will help to understand how this may impact on adherence to MS therapies, and may inform how these drugs are used in the future.
