Research summary
The Barts-MINOCA-Study(Myocardial Infarction in Non-obstructive coronary disease) is a single centre, retrospective, observational study based at Barts Health NHS Trust. The aim of the study is to understand the characteristics and outcomes in patients with MINOCA and troponin rise without a diagnosis. Any patient aged 16 years or older with MINOCA or unknown cause of troponin rise referred to Barts Health NHS Trust will be included in the study. Analysis will be performed on pseudonymised data: comparative analysis of clinical characteristics between different populations with MINOCA, outcome analysis, assessment of diagnostic accuracy of various indicators/markers of outcomes and predictors of outcomes using regression analysis and computational modelling and simulations. The study will take 5 years up to 1/4/2026.
