Research summary
This project aims to use 'shadowing' observational methodology to understand the real life difficulties that people with acquired brain injury experience when performing various tasks in social environments. Data from these shadowing sessions will be used to inform the development of virtual reality scenarios and tasks in which the various issues that impact the person’s ability to perform the task can be controlled experimentally. Secondary aims are to evaluate virtual reality software designed based on the data from the shadowing phase to mimic everyday tasks and to understand the feasibility of using virtual reality technology with people with ABI.
