Research summary
This study aims to investigate the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the mental health of staff working on the intensive care unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital. It will specifically look at levels of depression, anxiety, stress and PTSD amongst staff. All staff who have worked on the intensive care unit within the two weeks prior to the study will be eligible, except students. \nData will be collected in the form of an anonymous questionnaire. The study will last approximately 1-2 weeks and will only be conducted at this one site. The study will be conducted purely for interest. It may offer greater understanding of the impact of the pandemic on NHS staff and help planning mental health support services for future health pandemics should they occur.
