Research summary
The overall aim is to assess the long-term clinical outcome of cell therapy to treat ankle cartilage defect through the development of a self-assessment score of ankle function, based on a critical review of existing scores and expert opinion (e.g. surgeons, physiotherapists). \n\nThe objective of the study is to develop and validate this new score, with existing scores as comparators. The study will be used to score patients in clinic who have not had ankle cell therapy by comparing them with patients who have had ankle cell therapy\n\nPart of the study is a retrospective comparison between two groups: patients who have been treated with ankle cell therapy and patients who have not been treated with ankle cell therapy.
