Data collection arrangements
The AIDE platform that allows hospitals to deploy, execute and monitor AI models. The purpose of this project is to allow medical AI developers to evaluate an AI product on retrospective and prospective data collected for direct care. Before any data is used for an evaluation, the proposal will have to pass a rigorous approval process conducted by a committee of data protection leads, clinicians, and patients. If the project is approved then a contract between all parties will be signed. Following this National Data Opt-Out will be applied to relevant datasets, and the remaining dataset can be accessed by the Direct Care Team to conduct the evaluation.
Research programme
All projects will be reviewed by the Data Allocation Committee (DAC). The DAC includes Trust members of governance, such as the Data Protection Officer, Information Governance Leads, Clinicians, and members of the public. They have reviewed AI research since 2020 so bring a wealth of experience to project reviews.
