Research summary
This is a questionnaire survey to assess potential recruitment to analogue patient studies. Analogue Patient (AP) studies involve participants observing video recordings (vignettes) of simulated consultations and commenting on them ’as if they were in the patient’s shoes’. These have been conducted in research establishments but we wish to ascertain potential participants’ interest in taking part in these at home either with DVD and question booklet or via web-based streaming and data forms as well as at the University of Aberdeen or local NHS facilities.
In order to assess this we wish to elicit interest and preferences for mode of delivery among consecutive GP clinic attenders using a short and non-threatening questionnaire. The questionnaire will be in one page format for self completion.
