    Research Summary
    Cross-sectional, observational study. \nParticipants healthcare professionals receiving routine COVID-19 testing. Methods include:\n1.\tShort text message questionnaire of clinical information and questions to screen for symptoms of COVID-19 infection.\n2.\t6 item smell tests to be posted to all participants and answers sent via text message to research team.\n3.\tResearch participants to subsequently report COVID-19 status via text message.\n

    No recruitment.

    The main aim was to use smell testing to diagnose COVID. Within weeks of the study being approved, PCR and lateral flow tests were available which rendered the study unnecessary.
