  • Research summary

Ankylosing Spondolytis (AS), Paget's disease of bone (PDB) and Fibrous dysplasia (FD) are chronic conditions which are being investigated in this study. Current therapies only target some of these inflammatory factors involved in the short term, however, therapies towards the structural bone changes to alleviate pain, stiffness and quality of life have not been established, therefore, there is an unmet clinical need for alternative therapeutic strategies that this study will investigate by investigating the blood components to better understand the mechanisms involved.
Understanding the mechanisms involved in this disease will be paramount to enhance knowledge and discovery of novel therapies that this study will investigate.
