Research summary
The aim of this study is the identification of biomarkers in stable phase and during exacerbation in patients with bronchiectasis (chronic inflammatory disease of the lung that cause bronchial dilatation and sputum production) and their correlation with clinical outcomes, prognosis and severity of exacerbations (worsening of symptoms) as well as response to treatment.
These biomarkers will be analysed from sputum and blood samples taken in clinic in several occasions over a period of 12 months.REC name
