    The NHS is going through a process of changing where certain patients access healthcare services. This study will investigate the relationship between distance/ transport accessibility to healthcare services and health inequalities. It focuses on patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. The study includes: a systematic review, case study of West Yorkshire Healthcare facilities, analysis of secondary data using econometrics and scenario testing. Key outputs will provide the NHS with robust recommendations on the impact of distance/ transport accessibility to healthcare services on health inequalities and recommendations on minimising health inequalities from the policy of centralisation.
