Research summary
This research project aims to explore children’s, young people’s, parents’ and professionals’ expectations and experiences of multi-disciplinary team (MDT)disorders of sex development (DSD) outpatient clinics. The research team will draw upon a combination of research methods (questionnaires, semi-structured observations and participant interviews) in order to make sense of the meanings held within the DSD MDT clinic. This involves getting to know the people (children/young people, parents and professionals) by being there, alongside them during clinic, to try and capture their experiences at first hand.
