Research summary
This study is qualitative and will investigate how the dentist feels about using digital models compared to plaster study models. Digital technology has become more established in dentistry in recent years, it is therefore important to understand its role clinically from the user perspective. The findings from this study will benefit the dental team and manufacturers of the digital technology. A sample of dentists will be asked to make a series of measurements on a set of digital models and a set of plaster models. The participants will then be asked to complete a questionnaire about their experiences during this process. The participants will be qualified or student Orthodontists working within the NHS. The process should take no longer that 20 minutes and will take place in the participants hospital site at a time convenient to them.
