Research summary
The main objective of the present study is to investigate the effects of 5-methoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT) on human brain activity of healthy participants by using high-density electroencephalography(HD-EEG). The aim is to learn how 5-MeO-DMT changes brain activity to alter consciousness, which is part of a broader initiative to utilize hallucinogenic substances as tools to probe and thereby better understand brain function and its relationship to consciousness
