Research summary
We wish to investigate the potential role of 3d printing in surgical oncology. We have created plastic 3d models from CT scans of various abdominal organs. We wish to show these models to surgeons and patients to identify the role of these organs in facilitating pre-operative decision making (for the surgeon), and understanding the disease and operation (for the patient).
