Improvements in research involving pharmacy or radiation
As part of our commitment to continuously improving the support we provide to the research community, we are nearing the imminent roll out of Pharmacy Assurance and Radiation Assurance, bringing consistency and clarity to both processes.
Tips for successful applications
We often see a number of avoidable errors in applications for HRA Approval, which can delay the progress of an application and in some instances lead to it being rejected. To help you avoid this, we’ve come up with a list of helpful tips.
HRA Approval
We publish regular updates on our performance in relation to HRA Approval – which has improved significantly and steadily since its introduction. Decreased, stable timelines have been achieved and maintained, accompanied by a continuous increase in applicants seeing HRA Approval and final REC opinion being issued jointly.
Watch our short animation explaining HRA Approval and why it was introduced.
Confidentiality Advisory Group members appointment
We are looking to increase our CAG membership from April 2018. As one of the CAG’s voluntary members, you will robustly assess applications within our regulatory framework and developed principles to advise whether the activity is in the public interest.
We are keen to recruit a diverse set of both lay and expert members from a variety of backgrounds. You could be a member of the public, a patient representative, a member of a consumer group, a healthcare professional, or a member of a professional regulatory body or an academic/research institution.
Please review the Member information pack for further details of the role. If you have any queries around the role, please initially contact us via hracag@nhs.net or via 020 7972 2557.
