A line graph showing the median time to issue a final opinion for a substantial amendment between 2018 and 2023.

On on axis is the median number of days, on the other is the years between 2018 and 2023.

There are three lines of data on the graph.

A yellow line shows substantial amendments requiring HRA and HCRW Approval, a blue line shows substantial amendments requiring REC (UK wide) review and a horizontal red line showing the 35 day target baseline.

The yellow line for HRA and HCRW Approval starts at 29 days in 2018 and trends upwards to 36 days in 2019. It then drops to 31 days in 2020, 28 days in 2021, 29 days in 2022 and 30 days in 2023.

The blue line for REC (UK wide) review starts at 18 days in 2018 and trends upwards to 24 days in 2019. It then downs to 19 days in 2020 and stays horizontal at 19 days for 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The only time a line appears above the 35 day target is in 2019 for HRA and HCRW Approval at 36 days.
