Over the past year we have been working hard to develop a service that will offer advice and information on the development and adoption of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in health and social care.
We are delighted to announce that the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Regulations Service website has now launched.
You may have previously heard the service referred to as the Multi-Agency Advisory Service (MAAS).
The AI and Digital Regulations Service is a partnership between four national bodies:
- Health Research Authority (HRA)
- National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
- Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
As you would expect the guidance for developing artificial intelligence and digital technologies can be complicated and difficult to understand.
The service aims to clearly set out the information and guidance that developers and adopters need to follow to develop safe, innovative technologies in health and social care.
This includes advice on legal requirements, best practice guidance for the development and adoption of AI and digital technologies.
The website is currently in public beta which means it is available to view but we are still making changes based on the feedback we receive.
Initially the website will provide advice and information for developers, with another section for adopters following in the next few months.
If you would like to be involved in user research for information aimed at adopters you can register your interest on the website.
